Chemical doping is the key process for investigating charge transport in organic semiconductors and improving certain (opto)electronic devices, while n(electron)-doping is fundamentally more challenging than p(hole)-doping. Ideal molecular n-dopant should exhibit high reducing power, good air stability, and high doping efficiency.

On September 22, the unveiling ceremony for the SUSTech (MSE)-CEM Joint Laboratory on MEMS Sensor Technology was held at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

On November 25, SUSTech Department of Materials Science and Engineering Chair Professor Hong WANG was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for her contribution to the development, integration, and industrialization of novel dielectric ceramics and composites for passive integration.

Professor Fei YE (Materials Science and Engineering), one of the winners of the Excellent Teacher Award, gave his acceptance speech. He said that the award is tremendous encouragement and recognition for his work. He has been working hard to be considered a good teacher.

In closing, Professor Jiangyu LI welcomed students who want to join MSE. The Department is developing a world-class materials science discipline that will foster students as they tap into their potential and see them grow beyond their imagination.

From August 8 to 10, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) hosted nearly 100 outstanding university students from up to 70 universities across China in a blended, online-offline, summer camp.
