Dr. Chengzhu Liao joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology as a teaching engineer in 2013. She received her BS and MS degrees in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University in 1999 and 2002 respectively, PhD degree in Department of Physics and Materials Science Engineering from City University of Hong Kong in February 2011. She worked as an engineer in the Instrumental and Analysis and Research Center at Sun Yat-Sen University in 2002, and became a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Applied Physics at City University of Hong Kong in 2011. She was awarded the "Peacock Plan" of Shenzhen overseas high-level talents in 2014. Her main research interests include nanocomposites, artificial bone repair biomaterials and battery materials. She has published over 40 academic papers in well-known journals at home and abroad.
